Employer tax deadline
The Tax Division reminds
employers that the deadline is right around the corner for filing their second-quarter
wage and tax report for 2012 and paying the tax due.
Employers have until midnight on
July 31, 2012, to file and pay their state unemployment insurance tax and Job
Development Fund tax, and to file and remit the amount of Rhode Island
Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) tax withheld from employees’ wages.

New Administrative Decision on personal income tax
A new Administrative Decision posted today looks at whether a taxpayer's refund claim was timely filed.
Corporate tax update: E-file mandate
The Rhode Island Division of Taxation announced today that it will mandate the electronic filing of corporate tax returns beginning with the filing season that starts in January 2013 -- in other words, about six months from now. The agency posted a new Advisory with details.

Court upholds Tax Administrator on income tax case
